The farm
The Krishna Ranch is not a typical resort. When you stay with us you will experience the life of a real farm. The ranch is surrounded by 2 acres of farmland. We grow wheat, millet, lentils and different types of seasonal vegetables.

We run our farm eco-friendly: neither chemical fertilizers nor pesticides are being used. We use solar panels for hot water and try to reuse waste as much as possible. Apart from the horses  we keep cows, chicken, goats and dogs. Of course all animals are very well looked after by us and our dedicated staff.

Our Staff
All people working at Krishna Ranch come from nearby villages, mostly from the local Bhil-community. Many of them have been working with us for 10 years or more and feel as part of the family.

Narani and her husband Uda have been working with us since the beginning in 1997. They live permanently at the ranch and are excellent care-takers of the farm and of the guests staying at the ranch.

Our equestrian staff has been trained personally by Dinesh. They are giving our horses the best possible care and thoroughly know the character of each horse.
The cottages at the ranch are spacious and beautifully decorated with regional handicrafts.  All cottages have attached toilet/shower with solar-powered hot water and a terrace overlooking the farm.

Facilities include laundry-service, book-exchange, doctor on call, free parking, free pick-up from Udaipur-city at the start of your stay and drop off at the end of your stay, rickshaw for Udaipur sight-seeing, bus- and flight-reservations, taxi to airport.

On request we can invite a group from nearby Badi village to perform Bhajans (religious songs) in the evening.
Your meals will be served in our village-restaurant located in a beautiful setting with views on the surrounding mountains.

We provide excellent freshly prepared vegetarian meals. We try to use our own organic produce as much as possible. Most of the year we have fresh milk from our cows and eggs from our chicken. On some evenings we will make dal-batti, a delicious, traditional Rajasthani dish. On cold winter nights you can have some drinks and snacks near a campfire.

Breakfast is extensive with multi-grain bread, organic jam, porridge, cornflakes, fresh fruits, yoghurt, omelettes, coffee and (herbal) tea.
Just unwind and relax
Krishna Ranch is not at all far from the city in terms of distance but is in another world in terms of relaxation.  The ranch  is situated completely off the main roads and is surrounded by the mountains of the Monsoon Palace Wildlife Sanctuary.  Surrounded by trees, plants and lush fields you will totally relax, enjoying the peace and fresh air.  The night-sky full of stars and the silence at night are unforgettable.

The ranch is a great place for bird-watching as well. In every cottage you will find a guide with India’s indigenous birds, so you can look up the names yourself.
In our restaurant you will find a small library with books and games.
Explore the surroundings on foot or by bicycle
The ranch is an excellent starting point for short- and long walks to the nearby villages and the surrounding mountains. There are several interesting places which can be reached   on   foot:  Badi village  (2 km),  Hawala village (3 km), Tigerlake (3 km.), Shilpgram (ethnic open air museum, 5 km.), Shilpi resort (for swimming, 5 km.) and the Monsoon Palace entrance gate (4 km). Packed lunches for a pick-nick on the way are available.

To explore the more remote parts of the Arravalis you can book one of our guided
hikes.  If you like cycling instead of walking, we have bicycles available free of charge.
Take a horseback-ride into the country-side
Dinesh, the owner of the ranch, will be happy to take you on one of his beautiful rides into the country-side surrounding the ranch. A ½ day ride will cover around 12 kilometers and will give you a very good impression of the village-life and beautiful nature around Krishna Ranch.

There are 2 different half day tracks possible. The half day rides are not too tiring and therefore excellent for beginner riders.

The long safaris are available for experienced riders.
